Left Brain

Working as a clinician in diverse healthcare settings, I understand what it takes to write about health and mental health, from the inside out. I was educated at the University of Arizona (BS), San Diego State University (MSW) and California State University, Fullerton (MA), and bring more than 20 years of direct healthcare experience—including inpatient psychiatry, pediatrics, geriatrics and rehab—to my work.

As a result, I am hired by prominent medical marketing firms and advertising agencies, publishers and government entities, hospitals and healthcare systems, to convey the benefits of their services to patients and consumers. I also provide developmental editing, content development and line editing for print and interactive marketing campaigns for healthcare providers and advertising agencies that serve health and pharmaceutical clients.

WHAT I DO/WHAT I’VE DONE

WRITE everything from grants to brochure copy, marketing collateral and website copy; EDIT scientific research papers and peer-reviewed publications; INTERVIEW renown physicians, celebrities and community leaders; CREATE corporate and consumer correspondence; DEVELOP clinical study materials for state boards and questions for therapeutic board games for use in counseling; CONSULT with writers about their writing process.
